and yer laptop is not a gaming machine, it may have been branded and sold as that but a 9400M is not considered a "gaming" video card.

CAS on Mac is 7 and of course you can upgrade with lower latency modules. But 2ms of latency isn't going to make a difference. The faster bus speed and CPU will.

yes my laptop was built as a gaming machine as well...gaming machines are the best....they should just be called the best machines. Youll have your crappy, decent, and best catagories. Like our dell vostros = crappy, the mac = decent, and my laptop = best :D

Valid point, but what is the latency on your laptop? We're not talking about gaming machines here or overclocking.

Lets talk about DDR3 boasting higher Megahertz ratings than DDR2 - but at the expense of increased latency. The familiar struggle continues, and many of you will have noticed the importance of balancing latency and higher frequencies to achieve overall maximum performance. Let's see how early DDR3 modules manage this balance.
The best available JEDEC standard DDR3 modules were DDR3-1333 at 9-9-9-24 timings... a far cry from the best low latency DDR2-1111 4-4-4-12 timings - not to mention the DDR2-1250 5-5-5-15 modules almost matching DDR3 in speeds with still much lower latencies and I think history will repeat itself. The DDR2 camp may currently be laughing at the feeble latency and performance of the low end DDR3-1066 9-9-9-24 modules, but then later realizing that DDR3-1333 may be the point of parity - and that DDR2's doom may well be sealed by DDR3-1600 and above.
So yes maybe in the future if i have a octet core processor i may have a bottle neck however the low latency of DDR2 as well as the 4GB capacity and the matching bus speeds makes no "bottle neck" but rather a "speed of light highway".
P.S. when do you think mac will come out with a computer you can color on with washable markers?

Lol i just liked the "out of the box" design as opposed to typical boring ass solid colors. Also, the fact that I have 4gb of ddr2 means that my pc is not bottlenecked by the ram. Yes ddr2 is slower by a little bit but the fact that I literally have double the ram means that there is no bottleneck. Also the hard drive has double the space plus a massive screen. Yes i saved $300.00 on my computer and the stats surpass that of both dell and Mac.....Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful/cheap :P lol
P.S. Ok I’ll give you Macs are easy to use if you are not trying to do anything but surf the internet and create videos. Anything else on a Mac is like learning Spanish lol. If you don’t know what every non-labeled button does you will be spending hours just clicking on random buttons with pretty designs on them until you find the one that does what you’re looking for (aka impossible to use).

I've seen this thing u call a "laptop" and its ugly and has like 5 giant speakers on it. So when you go car shopping are flames and a fake air scoop a requirement? Cuz that's what your laptop looks like. You also didn't mention the brand. You also have DDR2 not 3 so your proc is bottle necked by the RAM. Macs being hard to use is an argument you will never win.

I see you have learned the way of misconsceptions well lol. Before I go to far i would like to note that Dell and Mac charge about $1-300.00 more for that fancy little logo they put on their computers. Here is the computer I bought for $980.00
ProcessorIntel® Core™2 Duo MobileProcessor Speed2.0GHzDisplay TypeHigh-definition widescreen active-matrix TFT-LCD with TruBrite technologyScreen Size18.4"
System Bus1066MHzCache Memory3MB on die Level 2System Memory (RAM)4GBType of Memory (RAM)PC6400 DDR2 SDRAM
Hard Drive TypeSerial ATA (5400 rpm)Hard Drive Size320GB
Optical DriveDouble-layer DVD±RW/CD-RWOptical Drive Speeds6x DVD+R DL; 6x DVD-R DL; 8x8x8 DVD+RW; 8x6x8 DVD-RW; 5x DVD-RAM; 24x16x24 CD-RWDirect-Disc LabelingYesDigital Media Reader or SlotsYes, digital media card reader

Now if we compare those stats we will see just how much Mac and Dell charge for their name. Plus Macs are just plain impossible to use. PC POWER!!!!
